In the early 1940’s, Joseph, Sr. evolved with the changing times as coal became out of favor for home heating, and he converted the business to provide home heating oil delivery and heating services. But, what did Joseph do with all those dump trucks and front-end loaders from the coal business? Given Joseph’s entrepreneurial nature, he started a second division of the company to provide trucking and excavating services, of course! Developing a family business with the help of 7 sons and 8 daughters, Joseph, Sr. continued to build his business and reputation in the community.
In 1960, the business was officially incorporated as Senick, Inc., and shortly thereafter, Joseph Sr. turned the business over to his four eldest sons. In 1990, John J. Senick became the President of Senick, Inc., and is actively involved as the Chief of Operations. Today, John and Edward continue to manage the day-to-day operations, and oversee that the company employees receive the knowledge and training necessary to serve the needs of Senick, Inc. customers.
